I've had two Brazilian Keratin treatments done in a salon, but I wanted a more cost effective way of straightening my hair. I will tell you what this product can do and what it can't based on my experience with using it, and comparing it to the salon process. First of all most Brazilian Keratin treatments do not fully straighten your hair. It simply loosens the curl and it and makes it easier to straighten. So do not expect to get wash and go pin straight hair. For the most part this treatment is "easy" but while the directions are easy to follow, I think there was some important information that was left out. I went ahead and did a bunch of research on the process before applying the keratin treatment so I wouldn't run the risk of damaging my hair. Here are a few things to remember :1) Do not apply the product to your scalp. I air dry my hair in order for it to not wash out as quickly and prevent as much damage as possible. I don't mind any curls that show through. In fact, I use a curling iron on the top layer because the product makes my hair too straight on some parts. The nice thing is that the curls stay all day when I do use the curling iron.
